Whiskey River

The sort of bar that's a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll. Nobody would be too bothered if you wore a cowboy hat, but you're not going to turn heads with a band t either. I just realized that country artists should sell branded cowboy hats the same way other artist sell t-shirts. Million dollar idea and you just read it in a review for a decent bar in Ames. Foods ok too.

The food was very tasty and the drinks are cold. The staff are super friendly. The only drawback for the Thursday at 5 that I saw, was a lack of staff. The poor wait staff could have used one more person for how busy it became but she was a trooper and did her best to keep everyone happy.

I enjoyed the people watching, but the music was too loud and I couldn't hear the person next to me. Decent beer selection and plenty of TVs to watch games on.

Went in at lunchtime and the wings. They were fantastic. Wings had a great taste and they were of a decent size. Price was fair and I will definitely be back!
