Root Coffeehouse & Creperie

What a wonderful coffee shop. Great atmosphere, great service, and amazing coffee and crepes! We spent a nice slow morning enjoying time with friends. It is a really neat building! I tried the Bourbon Carmel Latte and the Bananas Foster Crepe—neither disappointed! I would honestly get them again, but there is so much more I want to try too! Highly recommend giving them a try.

You go to Root when you want a local atmosphere and good coffee accompanied with plenty of options for seating. There is an abundance of electrical outlets. Need quiet time? Get here before 8:30 or between 10:30-noon on weekdays. Love the hustle and bustle? 9-10am is busy! I use Root for most of my meetings and once a month on my day off with my wife for a morning date. Restrooms are exceptionally clean. Parking is in abundance thanks to the rear public parking and rear entrance. Street parking is also available if you can snag it.

Went for a walk and after we dropped in for an espresso frappe and the new savory Canadian bacon frappe - wow! Great food, coffee and service.

This place was seriously amazing. The building is really neat, loved the tile floor and the tin ceilings! Staff was very nice and helpful as we hadn't been in before. And then the crepes. SO good! We had the berry one and the French toast and they tasted as good as they looked! They're also a good size so you should be full when finished. Would definitely be a good atmosphere to hang out and study or read in as well if looking for a place like that. Make plans to stop in! Coffee was also good - has a hot latte called "the dingo" and it was delicious.

A great funky coffee shop, a hub for local events, a place to meet up, a book share area, local artist profiled pieces around, really good. The only negative is its own popularity. Not enough staff for the number of orders, a pretty extensive menu adds to the wait and staff issues. However if you have time, plan to sit and enjoy all that makes this place great then it is a serious five star shop.
