The food was excellent. I had the pork shoulder, and roasted veggies. The pork was smokey, tender goodness with a spicy cherry, peach sauce and slaw. The pineapple upside down cake is yummy too. Loved the take out blood orange spritzer cocktail.
Delicious artisan culinary creations! You won't be sorry if you visit this quaint, family style spot. Celebrate a birthday or anniversary, dinner with the family, or meeting friends for drinks and apps - any occasion is the right time for Culinaria! ♥️
This was my first time here and everything was delicious! We shared the fried chicken hummus & roasted vegetables. I forgot to take a photo but I will definitely be going back. The service was exceptional as well!
We hosted a group of 30 people here and everyone raved about how good the food was and no one's sangria glass was ever empty. They were so easy to work with and it was a wonderful dinner. ?
Culinaria is a must-visit for any foodie visiting Lawrence, KS. All the locals I know have eaten there at least once. It's an experience, so yesterday I took my girlfriend to see what all of the fuss is about.
Upon entering, aside from the ceiling, the decor is warm and rustic. The tables are dark wood. The chairs are black plastic, but very comfortable. The ceiling is a mix of spherical paper lanterns and waves of sheer cloth.
The waitress who greeted us was friendly and personable. She was quick with our food and everything was served piping hot.
We mostly ordered from the happy hour menu. Happy hour is from 3;30-5:30 p.m. on Saturday and it is well worth it.
Our order:
-Squash and Chorizo (best flavor of the night according to my girlfriend, very interesting combination)
-Fried Artichokes (the best thing we ate, perfect fried dish, the sauce was incredible.)
-Meatballs and Tzatziki (I've made/ordered this exact combination before other places, so it was fun to see on a real menu)
-Jerusalem Hummus (meaty, yet hummus)
-A Horsefeather (classic whiskey drink for $6)
The total was about $45 including tip.
I will definitely come back to Culinaria. It's the perfect place to take a date for a light dinner before a night on the town. Thanks for the great experience!
