Kansas City West / Lawrence KOA

This is a beautiful spot! My 1st time in my adult life staying at an R V spot. Lots of ammenities & if Covid wasn't around I am sure a lot of them would be used. The only reason not 5 stars is sites are pretty close together. Staff is super friendly & rate them 5 stars +. All facilities are sparkling clean! Thank You!

Nice level spots, quiet and pleasant area. We only stayed one night but it was nice.

We booked this site and had to leave because the bathrooms were closed. We are moving cross country, and so our campers bathroom is out of order. They refunded our reservation, but it would have been nice if on their website it said bathrooms closed clearly.

I have stayed here a second time, this time for 37 days - this is the best KOA we have stayed in. I am amazed at the hard work and friendliness of the staff. A special shout out to the man who kept the grounds mowed and beautiful in spite of all the rain. And thanks to all of you for all the times you extended our stay and kept us in the same spot. This campground is not in a pretty setting, but we had a great time. Staff is responsive to questions and issues. All is clean. Nice store, great laundry. 6 washers and dryers meant I never had to wait my turn. Friends visited us and stayed in one of that cabins which was clean and had everything they needed. Good sized dog run. Your dog can actually run! We took the RV away for a day for service, left a bunch of stuff there and no one bothered it.

Level gravel sites, some grass and trees between, easy access to I-70, but not right next to it. The lawns were mowed religiously. We had to extend our stay twice and the staff were very helpful arranging us to stay in place. Cable provided, pretty good water pressure.
