Rusty Taco

Stopped in for a leisurely lunch because they had a patio that was shaded where I could hang out with my dog. The atmosphere was corporate, the staff seemed friendly, even though it was busy, the food came relatively quickly, the taste was average. Overall, not a bad experience but nothing to rave about either.

Perhaps it's a pet peeve of mine but when places advertise " street food " but are charging $5 for a taco indoors that doesn't resemble a street taco, I wish they would just use "street style" or something other than "street taco" or "street food" . It's kind of like a hotel calling themselves a homeless shelter..

Rusty Taco has a look that is part sports bar, part Chipotle and part Chicken & Pickle. The intent is to be a place to go hang out with fiends, eat, drink and have fun. Sounds like a winner.
The menu is well organized and easy to work with.
The service is friendly and helpful.
They take your order, give you a number to put on your table and they bring your food to you.
For us, the food was surprisingly slow. I was compelled to check if they lost our order.
The food appearance is underwhelming. It is frankly sloppy for a restaurant. Fortunately the food all tastes good and that is the main thing about restaurant food.
So if you are looking for a place to hang out with friends and get food and drink at a leisurely pace, this is a good choice. If you need to eat quickly or have an impressive looking meal, go somewhere else.

We ate here two days in a row just to try more of their tacos. Everything tasted so fresh. We had two tacos each and they were so satisfying. I recommend the breakfast taco with chorizo, Acapulco fish, Baja shrimp, brisket, and more. Margaritas were delicious, served in pint glasses with no stinting on the tequila! Sorry, we didn’t think to take pictures of the tacos.

Honestly the best margarita I’ve had in a very long time. The staff was so sweet, nice and welcoming my first time there, and already felt like a regular. The service and food was absolutely amazing, Dennis was an all star behind the bar❤️
