Taco Grande

Pretty decent fast Mexican food. The tacos and Sanchos are good size, bigger than most.

You get what you expect. It's not gourmet, not even fancy, just good fast food. Service is friendly and the place is clean. Top notch stiff goin' on over there at Taco Grande.

I was satisfied, my dining partner not so much. If you know what you’re in for, it’s fine. On par with location in Scott City.

So what is it: NOT Taco Bell. The meat is seasoned and mixed with something, not sure what, but it works. Cheese is good, tortillas do what they’re supposed to, everything was as expected. I got a funny taco (hard shell wrapped in a soft shell, held together with nacho cheese) and a combo burrito (meat, beans, cheese). I also sampled her chips and guacamole, which were disappointing (guac had no taste, chips came in a vacuum sealed plastic bag, did not taste fresh). So don’t get that.

We were there around 2:30 on a weekday and it wasn’t empty but certainly wasn’t crowded. Counter guy pleasant enough. Bathroom was clean. I’ll return if passing through at the right time again but wouldn’t go out of my way.
