The food and wine downstairs in the basement was fantastic! Huge let down for the bedding. VERY hard mattress and pillows. I even asked for more thinking it would help but it didn’t.. With the window at the top of my door the lights were shining in all night. I barely slept. The place is very historic which I love! The staff were so friendly and accommodating but they need to change the bedding asap

we had a great dinner meal. our waitress Aubrey was excellent!!!! She was very friendly and answered all our questions about this great town. we would come here again to be served by Aubrey. She is WONDERFUL! She made our dinner extra enjoyable with her service.

Good fortune smiled on us when we decided to stop for the night along Interstate 70 and we discovered this hidden gem. This historic hotel is beautiful, clean, and an absolute pleasure to experience. The clerk was very helpful and told us alot of the hotel's history. We just stayed 1 night, and reluctantly hit the road again in the morning, but plan to return to linger a few days and enjoy the hotel and area. Most Highly and enthusiastically recommended!

Great little place! Room was small. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was good but a bit limited. Would have been better if there was a curtain covering the transom. It let in a lot of light during the night.

This place is an odd mix of good and bad. The receptionist was nothing short of rude when we went in and asked about staying the night and asked to see a room. But then she was quite pleasant and helpful later. The room is small, but pleasant ... although the blinds did not work well, so bathroom activities had to be done in the dark or in full view from the street. The breakfast was interesting, in that several of the foods were made locally, but the fruit salad was "off" (i.e., a bit rotten). The patio out back was very nice, and we made great use of it for an evening of drinking beer and relaxing. Anyhow, this place is fascinating, beautiful, and historical, and just could use some fixing up of the details.
