The Peanut

I've been twice. Once before Covid and I loved it but can't remember what I ate. This last time was post Covid. I thought they did a great job on social distancing and disinfecting. But my vegetarian burger was horrible it tasted like a cheap processed chicken patty with some unidentifiable vegetable lumps folded in. And the homemade chips were greasy and chewy with a burnt aftertaste. I will try it one more time in the hope it was just a one time misfire

Their wings are the best! Just make sure you're giving them enough time to cook it because it does take a while since they're made to order. I got their roadhouse burger. Very generous portion and good quality food.

I really wanted this place to taste good bc downtown location is great. But it just wasn’t good lol. I got the chili and it was really chunky and just tasted a bit strange. Also the chicken ????taqueria appetizer was bland. Maybe they’re only good for their wings? ????‍♀️ I’d go back though.

If you haven't been to The Peanut and eaten their wings then you haven't had a true wing. Nothing beats their wings and BLTs or I'll personally give you your money back. Drink prices are decent and the atmosphere is good. Clean and open restaurant and friendly staff. Couple of arcade games and plenty of TV's. Just a heads up if you want to be there on a Chiefs game then I suggest you head up there super early!
