We were able to get Black Bear for the first time during this quarantine and were not disappointed!
The online ordering was easy and it was ready to pick up on the way out.
The food was excellent, I had eggs, sausage and hash browns and my girlfriend had the chicken fried steak and eggs.
My one complaint was that I ordered a biscuit with my breakfast and it wasn’t included, but I can let that slide considering everything that’s going on.
Highly recommend!
My niece and I came into your establishment for the first time for her birthday and she had breakfast and I had the chicken fried steak. The food was great but I have to bring to your attention that our server Jason was simply amazing. We being a little older are a little picky and he never blinked an eye. He made our dining experience so enjoyable that we felt we had to leave a review not just for the good food but to acknowledge what a outstanding employee you have. Thank you Jason
Great atmosphere and I loved the food. My friend and I chose to come here for a fun morning. We arrived around 9:40 and were seated around the same time. We got our food around 10:15. There wasn’t a rush or anything at this time...
Fine considering it’s a sit down place but we were expecting to already be eating by then and out by 10:20 or 10:30. I work in the food service industry and know there are things that can cause back ups and let it roll off my back.
My friend and I asked for boxes, considering we would have to leave in the middle of our meal now. This is where I am upset. The woman serving us our food scoffed at us before bringing us boxes.
So if you want to come here I guess plan to get your food 30+ minutes and don’t ask for boxes ???? unless you want to pay $50 for two meals to get scoffed at. Other than that one worker the rest were simply wonderful
I went to Black Bear diner for breakfast and I must say it was very nice. The pancakes are thicker than I would like them to be, but still good. The biscuits are HUGE... but for 4.99 you get 2 with gravy. The French toast was very tasty, better than other places. Someone raves about the bread pudding, I tried it and felt it was just ok. All in all the service was great, good was delicious, Also bought gifts out of the gift shop which is still waiting on merchandise. I would recommend giving it a try!
The restaurant just opened a few days ago. The staff is still learning and they're still working out the kinks of their grand opening. I think they weren't expecting the rush of traffic they've seen since they opened.
That said, this is going to be a very good place to eat, once they work out their system. Huge portions of food. Biscuits are ENORMOUS! Yes, a little pricey, but not too bad for what you get. Our waitress did a GREAT job! Management took a genuine interest and wanted honest feedback on how they were doing so far! (Which is rare these days!)
All in all, a good place to eat. Just be patient when you go in as they're still learning. Clean place to eat. Food is good. Staff is great! They're getting there!!
