Came in and immediately was greeted with a smile. The staff here are so welcoming and friendly. My server Sherry came right over and provided some of the best service I have received. My food came out faster than I expected and tasted delicious. I highly recommend the Chicken Fried Steak, perfectly cooked and crispy. I finished off my meal with the butterscotch pie, which had the best, moist, and flakey crust in the area. Thank you Mom's Kitchen for such wonderful service.

I am so glad to have found a new breakfast spot in Olathe. I found this restaurant on Google and saw the awesome reviews. It's a truly small town fee kinda place, older gentleman sitting around drinking their coffee reading the paper, very friendly staff, and great service. My husband and I don't eat pork, and luckily there were some options for us. It's rare to find a breakfast spot without sausage in their gravy. I was thankful to find we could order "cream" gravy for our meal. The meals came out quick, and as other reviewers said, portions are not withheld. Our entire meal was $20! We will be back.

We've been here four times over the last six weeks.

The first two visits were great. Big made from scratch tasting biscuits and to-live-for gravy, "fresh" (frozen) blueberries, hash browns that are way better than my homemade attempts, link sausage that tastes incredible ... you get the idea. The staff is friendly and we can tell locals enjoy eating here.

Our last two visits have been disappointing. The biscuits have been dense and could possibly replace a hockey puck. The gravy didn't soften them last week and using jelly didn't help yesterday. The "fresh" (frozen) blueberries have been replaced by some gelatinous substance that only resembled blueberries in color - I think it may be blueberry pie filling. Instead of eggs, two slices of bacon, and two sausage links that I ordered ... I was given the two sausage links and no bacon - and charged for what I ordered. My husband's steak was delicious except for about 1/4 of it being gristle but his biscuits were also hard heavy pucks.

We may give Mom's another chance. Not sure yet. We're still talking about it.

I love Mom's kitchen. Funny enough, a friend recommended it for one of their favorite burgers in town, but I have yet to try the burger there.

I always end up with a full serving of biscuits and gravy and a side of hash browns. The biscuits are moist and fluffy and the gravy has a ton of flavor. The hash browns are always crispy and never soggy.

My girlfriend had the eggs Benedict and she's an Eggs Benedict critic and she loved it and especially the hollandaise. She also had the potato chip items featured in the picture below and said they were crispy and tasty.

My dad had the cheesy grits and a pancake and really enjoyed them as well.

Outside of the food being great, the service was excellent. Tina was always there with refills and made sure we had everything we needed.

Can't recommend Mom's enough for breakfast and, I'm told, a great cheeseburger

My wife and I tried this out over the holidays. The staff and patrons were really nice and the food was really good at a reasonable price. The pancakes are HUGE and very light and fluffy - just a little bit on the rubbery chewy side. The atmosphere overall was nice, but the color scheme is very dark brown and dark green. Not terrible, But I do wish it was a lighter, more calming color scheme.
