Would certainly recommend trying this spot. Excellent atmosphere, delightful food, fantastic customer service. Great work.

Had a breakfast and it was delicious, hubby had chicken fried streak dinner and really enjoyed it. Veggies were seasoned nicely and everything was fresh. Homestyle food like my mom used to make. 2 meals for 30$. Mom and pop cafe style. 4 stars because the coffee was more water than coffee....but i will go back for the great food.

Great place. It's very cute inside, it was nice and clean, and everyone who works there is super nice. And the AMAZING food is a nice bonus. Definitely going again sometime.

This was my first visit to Old 56 Family Restaurant. It was mid morning and I was just hungry for a good home cooked breakfast and didnt want to cook myself. Remembering I had passed this restaurant for years and never stopped there I decided I'd give it a try. To my delight the staff was very pleasant and the service was kind of like in days gone by. The final test was the meal. I had ordered country fried steak with hash browns and eggs. Actually, the food was well prepared and served warm at the appropriate temperature. I will be happy to return there and it is a good environment for families and individuals.

The restaurant looks a bit run down from outside, but inside it's fresh and well-kept, with new booths and linoleum that is faithful to the 50s diner atmosphere. The waitress and waiter were very friendly and efficient, and the food was excellent. The pies were baked locally. I had a sour cream raisin pie, evidently a specialty of the house. Delicious!
