The food and service were so good! Best fried chicken I've ever eaten. Great brisket. Fantastic mashed potatoes. Server made us feel like family.
Cool place with an eclectic menu. Ample parking, great location. Polished comfort food with BBQ that rivals the top dogs of the KC BBQ scene. Staff is attentive and knowledgeable. The GM of this place is beyond nice and accommodating! Highly recommended. Pro tip: order your food to go and take it into the theater!
I have only been to this restaurant two times and I don’t know why I haven’t been more. Both times have had amazing food nice and fresh. They seem to also have happy hour deals I will need to come by and try them. Also you can take anything you order Togo to the movie theatre that is connected to it. On side note if you have problems finding it it is because the theatre and the restaurant share and entrance. Defiantly coming back.
A unique selection of menu items with great drinks. I like that it's kind of off in a secluded like area. Try the brisket Mac & cheese!
Had an excellent first dinner here! The place was not packed but had a steady stream of people coming in. Decided to start the evening off with a couple drinks. Ended up with The Smokey Frog and the lady had a Whiskey Business. Both excellent whiskey cocktails! For food we stared off with the frog leg appetizer and a couple of wedge salads. The frog legs were cooked perfectly and accompanied with some delicious fried peppers. The wedge salads were tasty and had plenty of crispy bacon on top.
On to the main dishes! The lady had the excellent BBQ shrimp dish. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and had the Hillsdale Bank sauce on them. The side of cheesy corn and crispy brussel sprouts made the perfect combo with the shrimp. I ended up with the Frogs Angus steak which was cooked to a perfect medium and had an excellent whiskey cream sauce on top. This was accompanied by some delicious mashed potatoes.
To round the night off we split a lovely dessert; the burnt sugar ice cream topped with toffee and hot fudge. This was the perfect treat to end the evening and was just the right amount to split!
I highly recommend giving this hidden gem a try if you're in the Prairie Village area!
