Celebrated 41 yrs of marriage by staying at this wonderful Hotel . From the attention of our check in to details in our room to out check out it was perfect ! Dinner was fabulous and breakfast was great ! Jennifer was so kind and caring and made our time there special with her extra efforts of kindness. Very personal and friendly. Will be back ! Stayed in 208 and it was very comfy . Best sheets in the world !
This is absolutly beautiful. My wife and I love historic hotels and this is one of the best we have ever stayed in. Such a beautiful hotel. Well maintained. This should be a 5 star hotel. We loved it 😀
Do you ever find yourself, especially in recent years of cutbacks in staff and service, visiting a hotel or inn and looking for problems, assuming that they'll just be there? Good luck searching at the Historic Elgin Hotel. I rarely say this, but, everything is perfect. Beautiful historic building. Great hosts. Seamless booking, entry and follow-up. No bill surprises. Highest quality beds, linens, etc. Shining tub and faucets. Incredible architecture with seating areas on each floor, a wrap-around veranda, kitchen on each floor, libraries ... You get the point. The hotel has a very good and accurate website, so I don't need to go into too much detail. But I implore you to visit rural Kansas, the beautiful Flint Hills, smalls towns, lakes, Emporia, Wichita, and make this hotel your base. I have no connection to this hotel except that I've stayed there twice in the last few months and it is incredible.
Gorgeous historic hotel that has been lovingly restored and maintained. Each room is unique and attention to detail and decor is evident as you tour the hotel. I LOVE that unoccupied rooms are left open so you can tour them! Common areas in each floor such as kitchen, dining, library, ballroom and even a game room (just feet from main hotel) make guest comfort that much more accessible. There is a lovely bar/restaurant on site. We dis not have dinner but the included breakfast was fantastic! We had cocktails in the bar that were well prepared and the bar/restaurant staff were amazing! In fact, ALL the staff here are amazing! The Elgin truly cares that you have a comfortable and quality stay. This was our first visit to Marion, KS and the Elgin and we are already planning for a return visit soon. You will not regret staying at the beautiful historic hotel!
