Barleycorn's Downtown Deli

I had a wonderful time at Barleycorn's Downtown Deli! I went with just one other person on a Thursday night, and there were only about four tables taken. The waitress who took care of us was super kind and prompt, and seemed to be very knowledgeable about the menu. I was considering the Mafioso, but her recommendation of the brisket was extremely apt. It was delicious! The brisket was delectable, there were a perfect amount of onions on it, and the bread was soft and light. Not to mention the coffee was excellent, for only a dollar. Run, don't walk, to Barleycorn's!

My roommate and I had Covid and they were amazing and brought our pickup order to our car and put it in our truck. So nice! The food is also delicious!

Staff was great.
Bathroom clean.
It was super loud, seemed more like a brightly lot bar than a family restaurant.
They were out of a few things we wanted, but that can be understandable. My mom's potato came out just barely warm, butter and cheese were cold :( but the kind staff nuked it just fine.
I recommend the owner add some vegetarian options. There's not a single vegetarian protein. There's a veggie potato that does sound good and the only sandwich was grilled cheese. If you had a fried egg or egg salad sandwich, that would be nice. Or a hummus, feta and veggie. Or a cheese pizza, or rice bean and cheese mexi-bowl. Something....
Anyway, the guacamole was tasty, I recommend adding more lime juice and salt.

Good server, clean and fast service.
Sandwiches were delicious. My family and I ordered 4 different ones and we all loved them very much.
Very flavorful! Would recommend to anyone.

Oh and you don’t have to wear a stupid mask when you walk in and then remove it 5 seconds later!
Definitely will be back:)

GREAT place to grab a filling bite to eat. Some of the best bbq I've had in Kansas and a great selection of draft beer.
