The Mac and Cheese is scrumptious with a side of flavorful covered in a layer of cheese!!
You cannot go wrong with anything you order. Everything is edible whimsy!
Excellent service, & a cute place. Meal came up fast & was great. The coffee was always filled & they offered a Togo cup, something I usually have to ask for. Great job.
This place was only okay. We asked for our steaks medium, and they came back well done and quite tough. The home style potatoes were over-cooked and not super appetizing. The eggs weren’t really anything special. Again, nothing I had to turn away, but I wasn’t super impressed with it. We have fairly high expectations for brunch, and this just didn’t fit the bill for us.
Very trendy restaurant with a good selection.
Cons:
- both my Steak Benedict and my wife’s steak and eggs were well-done despite asking for medium. Super tough, dry, flavorless meat. With this steak going on eggs Benedict I’d recommend they marinade it in some thousand island for a bit before tossing in the pan.
- the Hollandaise sauce was totally bland. I don’t know if they did it from a packet or what, but it definitely needed some more lemon and vinegar to give it tang and zest.
- the hash browns were undercooked and the consistency of rice pudding with a burnt layer on top. They need to toss longer in the oil before pressing flat to crisp.
Pros:
+ The eggs were perfectly done - just the right runny to solid ratio.
+ Texas toast, I mean can you ever really mess this up?
+ The hot chocolate was unique and tasty.
+ I also had a crabcake and it was fantastic.
If you’re on the verge of hangry and can’t wait 30-40 minutes to be seated, don’t go because it will be your fault you’re mad. Anyways. If you can wait, it’s totally worth the wait time. Go get a car wash, walk around to kill time - if you haven’t been here it’s worth waiting at least one time. There’s not many breakfast/brunch spots in Manhattan, so if you want something other than IHOP or Early Addition, enjoy the wait and food. The adult beverage are poured right (hint hint… I’m just saying…) The home style potatoes are the move over the hashbrown potatoes (if you like seasoning and I’m not talking salt and pepper “spices”)
