Just ordered off of GrubHub, and they were super fast making my order, but more importantly, it was delicious. The French toast I got was thick and well coated, the hashbrowns and bacon were the right amount of done, and they even accommodated my request for my eggs to be over medium. (4 stars just because I'm not sure how the dine in service is). I will definitely be a repeat customer.
Very nice waitress, she was warm and welcoming. Definitely would love to have her as our server again, I wish I would've caught her name so we could give a proper thank you! The food was also great, I got the 5-Star.
Exilent food at a good price and the waitress is very friendly and experienced
The fries were good though they didn’t give very many. The service was really mediocre. The waitress seemed more focused on flirting with the guy seating people. She had only two tables and I had to wait and ask for a single refill. Then she over charged us. She fixed the bill eventually. My wife’s chicken strips were great and seemed hand made. Her vegetables were served cold and plain and her salad was mediocre. The ranch was watered down and runny. Not a horrible experience, but not great and the bill was the same as any other restaurant.
Jimmie's Dinner has been around forever. For those who are Wichita locals, this used to be Toc's Coffee House. It's got your 1950's music playing all day every day and vintage decor on the walls. The waitress, at least this time, was wearing a poodle skirt. The staff was friendly and courteous and keep our cups filled. The food was good, not greasy, and served hot.
The only complaint I have is the coffee. I love coffee but I'll drink pretty much anything. It wasn't so bad when it was hot, just slightly watery. Every time it started to cool, though, it tasted more and more like drinking cigarette ash in water. Next time I'll go for tea or just stick with water.
I still recommend it as a good place to eat, particularly if you like the true diner vibe!
