Kelly's Family Diner

Didn't get the chicken and waffles right after asking me fried chicken right, then the " waitress " gets off the phone cause she doesn't have people skills and the owner offered to make me another order but not my money back. So if you get it to go make sure you check it before you pay and leave a tip. Good thing the potatoes and onions and eggs and waffles were delicious!!

The service was very welcoming and the food was cooked perfectly! My grilled catfish was terrific! The fried okra is just right! They have a very pleasant owner and a great professional staff!!

Kelly's reminded me of a small town diner, where everyone is welcome. The food was very good, but the biscuit was outstanding. It was a first trip there for my friend and me, and I'm sure we'll both be back.

Had breakfast there this morning and had the country fried steak and eggs breakfast and my fiance had the steak and eggs breakfast. Each meal came with the steak, 2 eggs, choice of hashbrowns or skillet potatoes and toast or a biscuit. Add 2 drinks and it only came to $22.00!!! So much food for such a small price. We were definitely full and the food was delicious!! Our server was kind and attentive and answered all questions we had and made recommendations on what to try. Qe will be back...many times.

After reading all the reviews and seeing the editorial piece from Dining with Denise from The Eagle, I decided to give this place a go.

If you've ever been to the Beacon, then you're familiar with the food already, the kitchen is worked by former Beacon cooks. This is comfort food at its finest.

As of today, many have given feedback and recommendations to which, Kelly's has taken into consideration and implemented.

They still need to let people know upon entering the restaurant, whether they need to seat themselves or wait to be seated.

I hope in the future they are able to expand their business hours into the dinner hours beyond Friday night.

If you haven't tried it, you owe yourself that much!!
