Pig In Pig Out

Came down from Minneapolis to visit family last weekend. Had to experience some BBQ in Kansas. Walked in the place and instantly got smacked in the face with the delicious aromas! I got a mix of things for take out. Service and food was excellent!

GREAT BBQ (in a divey kinda way).

Be warned, they do run-out (not like they store the extras for tomorrow or anything), so get there early for the best selection.

The staff is friendly yet sassy - adds to the ambience.
Prices are excellent and the portions are huge.

The BBQ was terrific!

The brisket was solid and well trimmed, but still juicy and full of flavor even without sauce.

The pulled pork was also lean with no chunks of fat to be found. The sauce went well with the meat.

The corn casserole was unique and delicious. The beans were both sweet and savory.

The only negatives were operational. They were out of ribs, potatoes and green beans. It was around 6 and the workers acted like they had run out of gas hours before. When our food was ready they set the tray on the counter but didn't holler at us or try to let us know in any way. They lost our friends' order for a couple of sandwiches and sides.

The food was good. But for the $10 the other rib joints give you full rack of ribs.

This is, in my humble opinion, the best BBQ to be found in the greater Wichita metroplex. I've tried a LOT of items here. This is the first BBQ joint I ever went to where I was halfway through the meal before I realized I hadn't used any BBQ sauce. The meat is THAT GOOD!
As far as sides go: the cheesy corn was good, the potato salad was good, the mac & cheese was ok, the pasta salad was disappointing and the banana pudding was AMAZING!
