My visit here was an interesting one I was seated right away and then I ordered quickly and got my food quickly, then it took 10 minutes to get my check and a to go box! The food was okay, I thought it was very bland and the tarter sauce on the table was okay. The hush puppies were very good, maybe I should have ordered the shrimp instead of the fried fish but the breading was kind of bland but everything came out warm. Next time I will try the carry out side of the restaurant!

Everything was super clean when we went in. They were not very busy and service was great from the young man who took care of us. The catfish and shrimp was excellent as was the red beans and rice as well as the coleslaw. The portions are huge and everything was hot and crispy. We ended up taking so much to go we ate dinner off of our lunch leftovers too. Prices aren't too high and the kids loved their fried shrimp. I'd recommend. We have been back a few times for Togo orders. The gumbo is a must get!

Service was great. Food tasted good and was crispy. Good tasting fish. Chicken strips were good but maybe a little overcooked. Hushpuppies were great. Shrimp was good and didn't look so traditional, I thought it was chicken strips at first. Cole slaw wasn't bad but wasn't great.

The only issue I had was that the cook, believed to be the owner, had blue latex gloves on and came out to the dinning area, then when walking to the kitchen he touched the gloves to open the door with his hand, not arm of foot to swing the door open. Not sure he changed gloves or not after. Then when I was leaving, he was up front on his cell phone touching the screen with the gloves on again.

Even if he did change the gloves before he touches food, it is still the appearance of not being sanitary and following the simple rules of food handling. So this was definitely a turn off and a disgusting thought.

My first time eating here (2/5/2020-Wed.-5 PM). Not bad. Service was nice. Food prep was fresh and hot. I had fried fish, large shrimp and oysters. My sides were Hush Puppies and French fries. All was delicious. The patrons were from all walks of life. Plenty of seating (tables and booths). I felt food prices were fair. No alcohol. Regular drinks served were your standard pops, tea, coffee, ect.
I recommend this place.

Fairly good food with excellent prices. Staff is genuinely trying to give good service. You can tell they are learning. Generous food portions and the crab cakes were well seasoned. The mac and cheese was not the best but I still gave 5 stars because mac and cheese can be hit or miss no matter where you go. I wish there was an easy side location and I would go more often.
