Tacos Uruapan Food Truck

Best and possibly only pambazos in Wichita. Tacos are served with onion and cilantro which is what I’m used coming from California.

The food is good but the lady taking all of the orders doesn't change her gloves. She handles money and credit cards and then starts to cook with the same gloves. I'm sure she just needs to be a little more educated on hygiene and she'll start changing them.

Sooooo, this is the sort of place that I live for finding. This is a bit of Mexico in central Kansas. Uruapan is a city in western Mexico known for its carnitas, and I assume that these folks are from there. The food truck did not disappoint: the buche (carnitas) taco was excellent, as was one of cabeza. I tried the quesabirria, and it also was great. The food was spot on, and this will be high on my Wichita list in the future.

I’ve driven by this many times and decided to drop in and check it out about 6 months later lol. I’m skeptical when it comes to trying new places but I’m glad I finally made the plunge!
The tacos were pretty darn good and they didn’t speak any English, so brush up on your Spanish lol. I tried four different tacos:
Lengua
Birria
Barbacoa
Carne asada
The top three were all delicious and the carne asada was so so. Carne asada isn’t usually on top of my list when it comes to tacos but I wanted to try it anyways.
The wife even approves of their tacos, so that’s a good sign 🪧 😂.
Methods of payment accepted: Cash, credit card, and debit cards. They're only there on Fridays - Sundays. I have a photo with the business hours as well.
