Pie Five Pizza

Pie Five is a good Covid 19 choice. No menus to handle , silverware is plastic in a wrapper, preparers are behind glass and 6 ft away, pizza goes straight from the oven into the box, preparers wear gloves, one trip to fountain per cup (will give you another for refill), no touch hand washing unit in bathrooms and food was good. Preparers didn't wear masks though, I wished they would.

Very tasty tasty ???!!!

This is about the only place to have a vegan and gluten free pizza in Topeka, KS. Three out of the five times we've gone the service was lousy and I even had an employee get angry about making my pizza.

We decided to try one more time. I was skeptical but hungry. It had been a long week and my spouse and I really wanted their pizza. It's good. They have Daiya vegan cheeze. The ingredients for the pizza are usually fresh. They turn their product over pretty fast so it doesn't sit in the pan getting soggy.

We came in behind a huge rush of soccer kids and their parents. And even though they had just finished feeding lots of people, I was greeted with a smile and asked what I wanted. We got friendly service and a happy worker. I spotted the employee who had caused problems on my last visit, but he was running ovens and wasn't aware that it was me.

What I like about Pie Five is that when a gluten free pizza is ordered they change their gloves, clean all the counters and call it out for the other end of the oven. They work hard at not having cross contamination. There aren't very many companies that take this kind of precaution.

We paid for our meal and sat down and enjoyed a piping hot and pretty pizza.
My faith has been restored that I can find decent pizza in the Heartland! And that I can visit this pizza parlor again.

Very cool experience! It is neat to have a pizza, custom, the way you want it and ready in 5 minutes! They were super delicious!
