Planet Sub

I enjoy the sandwiches at all the Planet sub locations. I also enjoy Yellow Sub in Lawrence. I enjoyed the 1st sandwich I ordered and I haven't strayed. Sometimes you can make two meals out of one. They are just darn good. If you are in a hurry, I recommend calling ahead.

They never fail to impress. Their subs are fantastic, and the service is always cheery. The only thing keeping me from giving Planet Sub a perfect 5 stars is the fact that they are surprisingly expensive. I could eat twice at just about any other sub shop for the same price.

We went here for the first time; in fact the first time I'd been to any Plant Sub shop. We were a little early, so we were literally the only customers in the store. Ordered two sandwiches, chips and drink.

The sandwiches were very good. Everything tasted fresh. The bread was a wheat bread, I think. It was toasted perfectly so that it had both the taste and texture of toasted bread, but it wasn't hard. It still had some softness to it. Toppings were good, although I'd have liked a bit of lettuce on my sandwich.

My only complaint was waiting for about 10 minutes for the sandwich to come out. That seemed like a long time to wait for two sub sandwiches when we were the only people there. 4/5 rating just for the wait. The food was good.

I love Planet sub, best toasted sandwiches in the world! Their bread is made from scratch and it is an amazing recipe! I live many of there sandwiches and the simple foil wrapping. You really can't go wrong. as for the atmosphere, I do miss their old planet murals and artwork. Now it's just a simple fast casual dining style chain. Staff is friendly and I live the coloring pages.
