Friendly, easy-going family dining experience with excellent BBQ and high-quality diner food. Quick, most of the time, you can be in and out in 30 - 45 minutes unless you want to hang out for homemade desserts.
Very good homemade mashed potatoes, gravy and coleslaw, along with jumbo shrimp grilled just right. Pleasant waitress, and clean! Not much atmosphere, but not noticeable eating their good food!
I had the pulled pork Philly, which was great. The cole slaw is the best I've had, with lots of flavor and the right amount of black pepper. My husband had the brisket, bacon cheddar sandwich, which wad also fantastic. Definitely would recommend this place to all travelers. Kinda easy to drive past, since the sign outside does not grab your attention, but defintely is worthwhile. Waitress was friendly and helpful.
Absolutely amazing. Definitely in the top five of bbq places I've ever been. To start off, it was very clean, and quiet music wise (I went on Friday evening). The waitress was very helpful and nice. The food came very fast. The food is what really sold the place to me. The pork was well seasoned, juicy and tender. The fries were the best I've had in a long time. They came out seasoned nicely. I prefer mine very salty so I added some salt to mine but the fries weren't over seasoned for the average person. I highly recommend this place. It definitely has its share of small town charm.
After a long day of driving and exploring on a photography trip and skipping lunch, finding Pete's was like a blessing from the Lord. I had the Brisket burrito with coleslaw and a piece of coconut pie. The burrito and pie were stellar, coleslaw was OK but I compare all coleslaw to my mother in laws which can't be beat.
Our server was friendly and helpful and "Pete" (Brady the owner) was able to answer so many questions about the area for us and even directed us to some additional kitschy roadside attractions we had missed in the area.
