“Angelo's serves out the most delicious hot or cold deli sandwiches super fast! Not served on your typical sandwich bread but on slices that would normally make 1 and a half sandwiches. The amount of meat puts any chain to shame. Our team was driving through, stopped for a bite, and had everyone fed and ready to roll out in less than 45 minutes. I highly recommend this mom and pop shop along this back Kansas road.”

“Very good food. The chips were super thin which are my favorite type! Very flavorful salsa. The cheese dip was not thin and runny it had flavor. The steak chunks, more like brisket, had lots of flavor and was super good. The guacamole had good flavor. The chicken was seasoned. The beans have that delicious ham flavor from being cooked right. Even the rice was good. They have Pepsi products. The host was very polite and attentive to our needs. My only complaint was not getting any refills: our server was busy and not very attentive.”

“Great local spot off the highway! Today’s special was the mushroom and Swiss burger — fresh beef and yum yum. Also had the fried chicken sandwich which not as good as burger but still decent. The gem was the homemade pickle and onion diced salad and a side of cold pasta salad. Good quality onion rings. To top it off you get a soft serve cup of ice cream with your meal. I got the twist which rocked!! Have to support these local Americana stops and give the chain restaurants a break. Great customer service. My only plea is getting more local or house made fare on menu like cold salads or making own sauces like ranch or BBQ. Next time going through Kansas we’ll be back! Apologies for my poor photo — was halfway through chowing. :)”

I could tell the onion rings were from the box, not homemade. My wife really enjoyed her taco salad. My strawberry milkshake was handmade with real ice cream, so that was nice to see. They come frozen, I heat them up in the microwave and add some butter… They’re absolutely amazing! Must try, they are worth the price!”

“A good slice located in a slice of history! Bricks and Brews on Route 66 in Baxter Springs has great pizza and great atmosphere! I stopped in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The place was sadly empty about 1pm, but there was a buffet with a good mix of fresh pies. The Chicken Bacon Ranch was delicious and I'm usually not a big fan. Just the right amount of cheese and sauce on a crispy, smoky crust. I didn't partake, but there was a nice selection of draft beers in the bar area too...my mouth was watering! I'll be back with reinforcements!”
