Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen

Haven't had Cheddar's for about 6 years and at a different location.
The decor was very familiar as well as the friendly staff and great prices.
What was not so enjoyable was a tough and tasteless sirloin steak. The ribs were tender and fall of the bones as I remembered but the steak did not live up to the memories.
My wife had the tenders and shrimp which was good and the kiddo had grilled cheese, cant screw that up.

Overall a good visit and topped it off with the cake and icecream.

Food is really good and hot. The burgers are huge! I love the loaded French fries. The decor is really calming with the high ceilings and fish tank. Wait staff are always friendly and efficient. We really like this place.

Food is decent with very reasonable prices. I wish they still had the red beans and rice side; not sure why they dropped it. If you get a dessert, fair warning. They're huge!

I would have given this place four stars, but have had trouble with service. I've asked for extra dipping sauce for the chicken tender platter on several visits and had to ask more than once each time. Friends have sometimes had order mixups. Other than that, servers are friendly and helpful.

On the whole, I would still recommend eating here. There are just some things that could be improved.

Cheddar's always has excellent food. However, being in Danville it's a popular place so at peak times be prepared to wait for a table. Then you'll also wait for your food as they make everything per order, thus the Scratch Kitchen. They have a brand new item Better than your Mom’s meatloaf. My husband thought yeah right, but the meatloaf was fabulous and one of if not the best meatloaf ever. Highly recommend getting it.

The food was delicious ????! The waitress was really good, not overbearing but prompt. The portions were plenty. The price was reasonable. The atmosphere was good,soft background music would have been better, but that is the only thing I can say wasn't A1!! Thanks for the good dining experience.????
