This was one of the most enjoyable dining experiences we've have had in some time. Roxanne the hostess and Melissa our waitress were top-notch and very friendly. The atmosphere of the venue is very relaxed and the food was excellent. Highly recommend and we will return.
Our first experience at the restaurant and it was excellent. Hostess and wait staff were attentive, the bourbon selection was excellent and fairly priced, the appetizers and entree were promptly served. The restaurant was not busy when we were there. We will go again because the entire menu was appealing. We also liked the bourbon-themed decor and fair prices.
Oh. My. Goodness!!!! Absolutely unexpected and delicious. We shared an appetizer that was somewhat like spinach artichoke dip but included blue cheese and bacon. It was heavenly. That was followed by a light berry sorbet to cleanse the palette. I had chicken fricassee as my main dish and it was comparable to chicken pot pie with a ton of complex flavors. My friend had the purple chicken, which is actually purple because it is marinated in berries. She loved it. The hostess and waitress were awesome, table linens and decorations were fun. We will definitely be back!
Clean atmosphere in a restored older building. Nice casual dress recommended, suit and tie not required, but a button-up shirt or golf shirt and casual slacks would be appropriate. Friendly staff, eclectic decor, heavy on the purple. Bourbon bar with large selection. Price moderately high, but worth it. I had the fried chicken, since that is the signature dish. It did not disappoint, but I was tempted by the flounder. The menu is extensive and chicken is only the start. Appetizer selection is worth mentioning also. Parking across the street is convenient. Dayton, KY is a little off the beaten path, but make the effort.
Awesome, but it does require reservations unless you sit at the bar. Honestly some of the best fried chicken I have ever had and the fried chicken meals is easily enough to split (under $20) and it comes with mashed potatoes and greens beans. **best practice- sub out the green beans for collard greens, I have had a lot of collard greens from many different restaurants and they were by far the best my wife and I have ever had.
We also ordered a side of Mac and cheese and it was honestly our least favorite thing on the menu, it wasn’t bad but we have a particular thing we look for in Mac and cheese.
Also, there bourbon selection was awesome and very well priced.
