Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park

The rooms were nice enough.
The restaurant was extremely slow. I skipped the buffet- There is a "resort fee" added to the bill. - not exactly sure what that is for? It is a small state park, the lake is more like a giant pond.
Front of the golf course is old, the back 9 has much better cart path.
If you want quite, peaceful, this is a good place.

Love this little hidden gem. Beautiful beach great hiking. Best catfish you will ever eat at their lodge restaurant. Very affordable for a nice get away.

Phenomenal place! Extremely clean, beyond nice, wonderful location, awesome staff around, and perfect for all ages and groups! Went out here with my wife, in-laws, and closest friends. We will definitely be back for sure! Beyond memorable and exciting!

Beach was packed and had to be closed one day bc of something truly nasty in the water. Such a pretty place tho and the horse sites are awesome. Love the full hookups. The view from the lodge is awesome too. Pool looked nice. They should let campers use it too. Need to charge for beach access or something. Just too crowded. Restaurant at lodge was good but was a bit warm in the lodge area.

We had a great time camping out all week! It would have been nice if the beach part had a full shower in it though. Other than that it was awesome! We were camping right by the kids play area and they were able to just go out and play on the equipment: I didn't see any problems with the equipment as everything was in working order. The bathrooms were kept up really nice at the campground and if anybody had a problem we could just call and they would fix it.
