Absolutely delicious. Ive had other dominican food, and even compared to most of the hispanic/latino places around here, this is definitely 1 of 2 places that taste authentic. I had La Bandera Dominicana. Clean, delicious, on point. Recomiendo mucho a este lugar, al 100%.

First off there was a bit of a wait but the wait was well worth it . The food was fresh and the taste was delicious. The Z1. Empanada are a 10 out of 10 the Z6. Chicken Fingers were also amazing and let’s not forget the Z3. Cuban Sandwich the gooey cheese and pernil that melted in your mouth . Please please please give this place a try you won’t be disappointed.

We'd love to formally introduce to you Veteran owned and operated Green Plantain, a Dominican Restaurant that wants to bring a little bit of the island to you! Kelvin and his family emigrated from the Dominican Republic and first settled down in New York City. Shortly after, Kelvin joined the military and was stationed in Fort Campbell. During his time on active duty, he constantly found himself craving food from home and was confident his peers would love it too. This sparked an idea to provide quality meals for soldiers everyday, and he began creating a business plan.
His dream soon became a reality when he opened his food truck just 6 months ago. Authentic Dominican food was a hit with residents of Clarksville, so much so that Green Plantain won Taste of Clarksville's Best Burger and Best Seafood of 2022! The Sancocho (the stew in picture 1) is a Dominican classic and favorite. The Chicken Skewers were tender and juicy, accompanied by some perfectly crisp tostones. To meet the growing demand for their delicious food, Kelvin and his family opened their storefront location near Gate 6 just last month! Now you can get the taste AND feel of the Dominican Republic right here at home.
