“Service - Isn't anything great but not bad either. We went on a Friday night and our waitress was split between the outside patio and a section at the end of the building. She was obviously stressed but wasn't rude. Food - Is really good and portions are large. Ordered the Buffalo Dip and the pick 3(wings, Mozzarella Bread and battered mushrooms). Everything was great. Side note - I'm a blue cheese person and by default the order came with ranch. I asked for blue cheese and come to find out they charge 2.25 for 3 little containers. C'mon guys if you're going to nickle and dime us like that then do like B-Dubs does and ask "blue cheese or ranch" when taking the order.”

“Ashley and Mike were very friendly and helpful and made sure everyone was working safe. Everyone left with the same amount of fingers that they had when they entered. Ashley explained why certain ingredients were used, how to cut and chop then, when to add them, etc. They also made sure every kid got to do their own Bananas Foster Flambay. On another occasion the adults made a meal and we all interacted and were able to increase our cooking and preparation skills and we had a great time.”

“This is literally the best Mexican food in Kentucky. We have tried them all, and Oscar’s is the best. We drive 35 miles one way just to eat here. Today I had the Blue Ridge Burrito. This thing is massive and so full of meat and rice that it was over flowing. It was absolutely delicious. My wife got the taco salad and she says hers was the very best she has ever had. We can’t say enough good things about Oscar’s.”

“The food is absolutely beautifully authentic. We went with no preconceived notions of anything and were absolutely surprised. The dishes are unique. The ceviche is better than anything I've had on or off the road, they have a pickled onions that make it unique among other Mexican restaurants. Service was on point, we even met the proprietor at our table who is a warm wonderful Man, the servers were attentive. The restaurant is clean and festive. Y'all gotta try them!”

Not only was the cuisine extremely delightful to the palate; the wait was short and the detail in accordance to drink refills(including water) was superb. I even ordered (2)to go meals for my wife & I to have for later. The thought of departing from Chef’s Soul-food cooking got the best of me😅. My wife & I promptly returned….the very next day!!! “Now this place is a dream come true. Every time I wanted Jamaican Patties I had to get them from Florida, no more. They have awesome Jamaican patties. Only reason I give a 4 is because I was hoping to be in love with the ox tail, it turned out to be a little too dry I was hoping more soupy, however the flavors are on point. Also, there is no place to sit inside and dine-in. It will be much better if you could sit and eat.”

This restaurant is from my hometown in Arizona so I've tried just about everything on the menu & have never been disappointed. I'm so excited that they've come all the way from AZ!! I recommend the Carne Asada burrito (it's bigger than my forearm), Carne Asada fries (pic on this post), and rolled tacos supreme (pic also included), but like I said EVERYTHING ON THE MENU IS AMAZING!”
