Apollo Pizza

I am very impressed. Good sandwiches and great pizza. Plenty of beer on tap but I have never seen anyone order one yet. (Go on work lunch). This is a new restaurant and I would have gave it 5 stars but the management has not quite figured out the busy days vs slow days. If it gets packed as it was today they don’t have enough staff. It’s is worth the wait but hate to see my server so slammed that they can’t service you.

Very yummy! Takes me back to college. I placed an order and was told 30-40 minutes; I arrived within my window and it was brought out immediately! They also take walk in orders, but keep in mind there is a queue they go by and it will seem like you are waiting some time. I recommend eating there or ordering ahead! A little pricey but totally worth it for the amount of toppings and value of the ingredients!

Wonderful food, atmosphere, great service.. but just a little slow the night I went - due to kitchen issues. The staff handled what may have been as bad as broken oven possibly without any guests getting noticable upset. The staff was great, but due to the issues, seemed understaffed for a Friday night, especially when they were having kitchen issues. All in all, I still really enjoyed Apollo's and will give it another shot to see if they've improved or what's new! Try the Buffalo pizza if that's your flavor -- it was GREAT!

I'm super pumped that they're finally in Lexington. If you've never tried Apollo's pizza, you have missed out on the best pizza around. They were the best in Richmond & now they're the best in Lexington. I'd say it's the best pizza in the state, but i haven't tried all of them. I have, however, tried every pizza place in Lexington & Richmond, so I can honestly say, without any bias, that it's the best in Lexington & Richmond.

A friend and I went, they were steadily very busy. We spent maybe 2 hours from immediate seating to taking a quick tour of the patio that wasn't open at the time then leaving. This is an awesome pizza place with a great selection of odd and unique flavors. This is NOT fast food! This is not sit down pizza hut. This is a quality restaurant with quality service. Don't believe all the "bad" reviews. Go try it out. Food IS made to order not already made waiting on you. Go have a beer and relax!
