We came in and ordered the sandwich and half plate combos. I had shrimp wrapped in brisket and it was soo good. My daughter had the jambalaya and it was seasoned perfectly. We drive between Tennessee and Michigan often, and I found that stopping here only adds 20 minutes to the trip, so we will definitely be back because it is really worth it. Also, the customer service is fast and friendly.
Hunter and I eat at B&T literally every week. There really is no comparison anywhere else in Lexington and we have tried them all. You also get a lot of food and it is very inexpensive to say the least. We have told many people about the food there and took our brother in law who has eaten in New Orleans all of his life, as we have, and this is as good! Don't expect a fancy restaurant because it feeds many University of Kentucky students which we think is a fun atmosphere. TRY IT!!!!!!!
Love this place! Low price for a lot of food. I prefer a full order of Chicken Étouffée, sometimes adding extra bread. If you like to add hot sauce, they have many to choose from.
Place is small so seating can sometimes be a challenge, but additional seating is available in the bar next door which the B n' T owners also co-own.
I was just there for lunch yesterday, but am craving some again while writing about it.
Delicious. If you like spicy, smoky, flavorful, stick to your ribs food, go here. The atmosphere is laid back and casual. The staff is friendly. The food is to die for. Will definitely be back whenever I am in Lexington again. Also, they offer a good handful of tasty vegetarian options that are amazing.
Great staff, great food, great mood. Just moved to the Chevy Chase neighborhood and this is already one of my at least once a week eating places. I may be easy to please when it comes to Cajun food.. but they never disappoint! Cheap prices and ample portions make it easy on this financially strapped old man to dine out with no guilt. Everything is delicious but my particular favorite is the black beans with spicy Cajun sausage. So quit reading this and get in there already!
