Burger Shake

Coming from California where they have In and Out, a burger joint that doesn't waiver in how they cook or serve their burgers and keep the prices low, we have found that similarly at Burger Shake. The timing and flavor make us coming back. The fries are always crisp and the shakes are smooth.

Consistent little Burger shack. Don't expect a glitzy decorated diner, but DO expect the food to be super affordable. It's not served on any fancy trays or baskets, just in wax paper sacks and brown paper bags. They have eliminated a very large part of their overhead costs. And that is why you can get a better-tasting double cheeseburger from Burger Shake than you can from that other burger place with the double arches.

The food was real cheap at Burger shake. The shakes were great but the burgers were a little bit thin. the fries were kind of like McDonald's style the only difference is these were hot! The chili dogs were great oh, it's just a old time laid back atmosphere. The prices are cheap and that's always a big plus for me. It's worth the stop for one of their shakes vanilla chocolate or strawberry.

I am absolutely surprised at the quality, price and taste of their food! Their prices were so, so cheap!! Their fries are the same as McDonald's fries. They are fast, courteous & professional. I have no idea why I've wasted money on other restaurants when this wonderful place has been here all along. I know where to come back to next time I'm in Lexington! One last thing... The milk shakes are perfect! I mean... WOW! My order was 2 Double Cheeseburgers, 1 large fry, 1 medium fry, 1 chili dog, , 1 fish sandwich, 1 small chocolate shake & 1 medium strawberry shake. My total was $18 & some change. This is HIGHLY recommended and I will be visiting again very soon!

I love this place. Quick, cheap and delicious. I've tried the burgers (on sunny buns ????), chili dogs, fries (shoestring, like McDonalds), and all 3 flavors of milkshakes(choc, vanilla & strawberry)... and it's all been great. It's not a fancy place, but it's a gem. Also, My kids love the 50 cent pieces the old change dispenser spits out.
