This place was good but crowded and self service which was okay for the most part but we had to keep getting up to fill our coffees. I definitely recommend the flat fries and the inlet. It did not disappoint. The vibe is cool but be prepared for community style seating as the brunch times are very crowded and it gets packed.
Travelers, this is a nice breakfast and lunch restaurant in downtown Lexington. The shrimp and grits were nice and flavorful. The bacon lettuce and tomato with eggs, b e l t, on the menu was good too. The huevos ranchero's was delicious. We do not recommend the grilled cheese, which was flat and small. Service was helpful and very nice. Check it out. We recommend.
My husband got here around 12:30 on a Saturday and it wasn't crazy busy (line out of the door) which was nice! We walked right in and ordered, had food quickly too. The service was very friendly and multiple people checked on us as we ate. The Bloody Mary was soooo delicious, my husband ordered one and I tried it. Immediately got up and went to order one for myself! If you use a card, you can't tip the staff... So try to bring a few bucks of cash because if the service is as great as it was for us, you're gonna need to tip them! I asked for extra crispy bacon and they got it right! The best brunch potatoes I've ever had! And yummy cheese grits! They had local honey and jams to try. Beautiful outside area to sit, which was good because inside was kinda smoky and stuffy with how busy they were. We can't wait to go back!
Doodles is the perfect local getaway for a breakfast/brunch/lunch with yourself, friends or family. Their homemade biscuits go above and beyond expectations leaving you wanting to each one after another after another. Everything on their menu is a unique take on classic breakfast/brunch items and their prices are more than fair.
Their team is personable and their service is quick and customer-oriented. It can get a bit crowded and the establishment is a bit small, but if anything in town is worth a little wait, it would be eating at Doodles. I love love love this place!!
(And their kickball team is legit)
Very good biscuits and gravy brunch special. Cheesy grits were good and service is fast. Parking lot completely full on a Sunday morning and still had my order in a couple of minutes. Great service!
