El Charro Authentic Mexican Cuisine

Food was outstanding...best Mexican I have found in Lexington so far. Servers were terrific also

We are "regulars" at El Charro because their food is delicious, the restaurant is extremely clean, the prices are fantastic, and the service is outstanding. I love the online ordering feature. I can order my family's dinner online, pay for it, and by the time I arrive at the restaurant it's ready to take home and enjoy. In my "expert" opinion, and I do consider myself an expert on Mexican food since I have traveled throughout Mexico and attended school in Mexico, it's the best Mexican restaurant in central Kentucky! I have tried all of them, and this is the best! Try the carnitas if you like pork! If you love sausage and cheese, try the choripollo! If seafood is your thing, all of their seafood dishes are excellent! I highly recommend El Charro! They are also great at accommodating large groups if you let them know in advance!

What a fantastic experience! A friend recommended and I'm so glad that she did. I used to get the mole at a former haunt of mine and when I saw the Mole Poblano on El Charro's menu I had to have it...to die for! The portions are crazy generous, every bite better than the last. Had a sip of the Paloma, a double shot tequila drink with lime and grapefruit, I'm getting my own the next time. Our server was super sweet -- it was only her third day on the job and she was so attentive. I think that's a testament to the level and quality of service there. I'm looking forward to eating there again very soon.

Great servers, great bar staff, great food. We always go around 6pm about once/twice a month and they're on a wait by the time we leave every time. It has a cozy but authentic atmosphere without being cheesy or anything. Don't forget: Two for one margaritas at happy hour! ????????
