Skyline Chili

We'd never been to a Skyline chili before, & I was surprised that it was a sit-down restaurant complete with a fireplace. The menu is a la carte. We stayed just with fries & hot dogs since the other items start @ $7 & up. The fries are the best in Lexington, but the hot dogs are miniature size. I had a chili & cheese "sandwich" because I didn't realize it didn't come with a hot dog because of the vagueness of the item in the menu

It's so nice to be able to get a taste of Cincinnati here in Lexington!! Absolutely my family's favorite!! Fast service and amazing chili spaghetti!! 4-Ways for all of us! We will definitely be back! #skyline #tasteofhome

Haven't been to a skyline chili in a long time. We don't have them where I'm from, but after tasting it yesterday, I wish we did. Great food, great service, lasting impression. I brought seven other people with me betting on a taste that I remembered over a decade ago. They didn't let me down.

For those who are familiar with Cincinnati style chili, with its cinnamon and faintly sweet taste, often served either over a hot dog, or with spaghetti, you get what you expect.
The meal was quite enjoyable and evoked memories from college.
If you are unfamiliar with Cincinnati chili, trying it is highly recommended but you have to let go of expectations from hot Texas chili or other varieties.

Well, the chili was good but I ordered a small and it was very very very small. Three of us had a small chili two waters one Coke and it was over $28. That's ridiculous for a little bit of spaghetti and a wee bit of chili don't you think? Our waitress was wonderful and the service was great no complaints in that area.
