Smashing Tomato

My wife and I aim to have at least one pizza a week as a treat. We decided to check out Smashing Tomato while we were around the mall and it was first off not too busy on a Saturday evening. Just the right amount of people to not feel desolate, but also not like they see me with sauce all over my face when I get over zealous with pizza. As I do often.

The place was super clean, we had the dinner special for $12, which was a 12 inch pizza with a chopped salad. Which, to our surprise, the salad was massive. But it was SO good. From the green leafy lettuce to the walnuts and the vinegrette, it was amazing. Oh and the pizza was fantastic! Perfect mix between a chewy and crispy fire oven crust. Fresh ingredients, better pizza, smashing tomato.

Great pizza and atmosphere. One of my favorite things about dining here with my kids (other than kids night!) is that they have only one TV, and that shows only dronescapes of Italy... Gorgeous scenes!

One of the best pizzas in Lexington! The spicy marinara sauce has some real kick, the pizza oven burns extremely hot which makes for a great crust, and their wine specials are generally well-paired selections for a good price. Go check this one out!

My wife and I really enjoy Smashing Tomato. The cash register person was very informative. She took care if us and got us a take out box ahead of time. Cheese pizza fir two was the bomb.

The facility is nicely decorated, restrooms are clean, and staff is nice and polite. The crust is beyond amazing and I love the wood fired flavor. My only complaint would be not enough sauce and cheese on the pizzas. Other than that, the food is delicious!
