Zaki Mediterranean Grill

This place doesn't look like much from the road. And it's take-out only. But I'll be darned if this isn't the best Mediterranean food I have ever tasted. The owner is there behind the counter, cooking and serving, a super friendly and personable guy. I had a Chicken Shawarma sandwich, fries, falafel, babaganoush. What a feast. All were cooked to perfection, with seasonings unique - and decidedly superior - to any presentations of these dishes from other restaurants. Generous portions, fair prices, what's not to love? If I lived in Lexington I would probably eat here every day. Go here and spend money so this place stays open!!

Great stop! Very generous portions! My wife and I went and were surprised by the service and food. The owner was friendly, helpful, and professional. Highly recommend, the prices were reasonable especially for the portion sizes! Thank you Zaki’s!!

*just to note, it is take out only. Not an issue though because they provided bags, utensils and napkins!

So for any Greek food purists out here in Lexington...you MUST TRY THIS FOOD! If you've been to every other Greek place I promise you this one will be much different than those. The food here is truly authentic and the owner is a very nice and charismatic young guy. Good service and amazing food in a small place you just go in and out. My fiance and I will be regulars here and we hope this place gets the attention it truly deserves for being the most outstanding Greek restaurant in Lexington! First time here I recommend the chicken schwarma.

I had the chicken shawarma sandwich (it's actually a wrap), it was great. I didn't care for the stuffed grape leaves or the babaganoush but I'm not saying it is not good, it's just not my thing. I'll definitely be back.

I have been in Lex area for the past 4 years I can tell this been the best shawarma wrap the taste brings you back for real, I love the simplicity of the sandwich its just Garlic and pickles and chicken, Amr is so awesome and accommodating.
