Lake House Restaurant

My husband and I were invited by some friends of ours to enjoy a New Years Eve dinner at the Lakehouse. They had a prix fix menu for the night that gave you a choice of one of two appetizers, a salad, surf and turf, either a filet mignon or ribeye and a choice of scallops or grilled shrimp, baked potato, grilled asparagus and dessert, all for $25 per person. The Rough River area does not have a decent selection of places to eat so we were happy to give it a try. We were not disappointed. The portions were large. Our steaks were done to our liking, and both the scallops and shrimp were perfectly cooked. Huge baked potato and nicely grilled asparagus.From appetizers to dessert, the food was plentiful and delicious. We are thrilled to have such a nice restaurant in the area and we will make an effort to eat there more. We are hoping they will have other special menus on holidays. The price for this dinner was well worth it.

Very clean, friendly staff, the food great and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommend stopping by on your trip to Rough River.

This place just opened. The food was delicious and cheap. We have a family of 6. We were able to eat breakfast for $35.00 so worth it. Coffee is great too. Also this is the best city ham I've ever had
