Great barbecue place. Pulled pork sandwiches are awesome and they have plenty of sauces to choose from. I'm in town for work for a few days and I've ate there both days. Once for dinner and once for lunch. Very friendly staff.
It was a long climb to 5 stars after telling me they were out of ribs and brisket. I ended up trying mutton for the first time. It was awesome. The Burgoo is delicious and so was the vinegar based slaw. All the sides were amazing. This isn't a Famous Dave's style BBQ. This is legit good smoked meats.
Just stopped here by chance and ordered the prime rib. Great smoky flavor. Quick service.
My fiance and I were passing through the area on our way up to Indiana and wanted to try some local eats. We both tried the ribs and he got the mac and cheese while I got the peach cobbler. The ribs were AMAZING, the meat literally fell off of the bone and all of their barbecue sauces tasted great! I thoroughly enjoyed the Carolina pepper sauce, there was a perfect balance of heat and flavor. The staff were also very welcoming and helpful. Will be trying to hit this place again on our return journey and any future drives!
Some good stuff!
The pulled pork and chicken aren't as good as what I'd make at home, but they're certainly very good. They have a ton of different sauces to try, which are all very well made to suit a variety of flavor palates. The brisket is pulled, which in most circles is considered overcooked, which may explain it's somewhat musky bitter, although not entirely unpleasant flavor. The sides were decent. The people were nice. The sauces make this place though.
