They have gotten better. They now have decent WiFi. Food, BBQ is good. The sides are still weak. Still, good once a month.

Get your food to go and go around the corner to 3rd Turn for drinks.

Love their loaded tots, but sometimes I will order the exact same thing and it will be served/plated completely differently. Once I got loaded tots and they came "deconstructed." Like every ingredient (slaw, tots, meat) was in a separate container. Really weird. But their burgoo is yummy.

What I love: the loaded tots with pulled pork. It's just delicious! The sauces are yummy and the atmosphere is so open and welcoming and clean. The outdoor/indoor experience is great! They have (what looks to be) many beer options on tap. The only caveat I have is limited gluten free options and portion sizes seem a little small. But it is a beautiful gem and great location in the heart of gaslight square in J-town. It's kid friendly, date friendly, and a decent price point for BBQ. Would come back again for sure!

Let me start off by saying, BBQ to me is best smoked and dry rubbed, with sauce on the side. With that being said, this was neither of those two things. But holy smokes, was it delicious!! The beer selection lacked nothing. The ribs themselves were tender, and the sauce concoction was like nothing I had ever had before. I mean talk about delicious!!
I ordered two sides to go with my ribs, mac n cheese and potato salad. The mac n cheese was pretty good. It definitely had that home made taste and texture. The potato salad was some of the best I have ever had, though!!! The only fault I can come up with is, there was no salt n pepper shakers on any of the tables. Now the mac n cheese was good, but it would have been even better with salt n pepper. I thought that move was a little odd, but bold as well.

The folks who work here are generally friendly. Things seemed clean.
I had the bacon collards and they had a sweet vinegar flavor which I did not expect. It's definitely a variation on the usual take and was rather unexpected. They should be called sweet bacon collards. I have had the smoked tofu sandwich, Mac n cheese, and smoked meat. The mac n cheese was very rich and black peppery. They tend to make variations on typical foods and there is usually quite a large crowd here. It must appeal to certain palates. If you like "sweet" and "rich" foods, you would like this place. As one reviewer stated, it is not typical bbq.
