A quaint little gem next to Churchill Downs. Historically a very significant place that has retained its charm. Homestyle comfort food in a one of a kind setting.

Great place for a meal... diner here next to churchill's backside has been around since 1922.... can't have derby without Wagner's! Horse track atmosphere with some cool pics and other horse stuff... cool place!

This was our first stop when we got into town for the Kentucky Derby Mini Marathon and it did not disappoint. Neither of us had tried an egg salad sandwich or a pimento cheese sandwich in years and both were absolutely amazing on toast. The vegetable beef soup tasted just like my favorite restaurant in Central Illinois. The prices were also very reasonable, definitely worth the trip!

I love eating at Wagner's. The local atmosphere is so friendly and inviting. Their food is always good no matter what you get. All the ladies that work there work so hard and are still so hospitable. They get really busy from 11:30am to 1pm so be aware of that. And around derby time they cut down their menu yo provide quicker service. The walls are decorated in Derby and horse memorabilia. It is absolutely lovely!!

Classic diner that is next to Churchill Downs. It has a horse theme and is an iconic spot in Louisville. The food is southern/country cooking with lots of choices. The biscuits and gravy are the best I have ever had. Very informal and they don't waste any time getting you your food. Expect some long waits during Derby week but it's a great experience.
