Clifton Donut Shop

They have amazing donuts but the problem is they're only open from 5:30am-3pm so I never get to eat there. I got to try them 1 time and now I can't make it there in time. I'm not sure why they close at 3pm but I know they would make a whole lot more money if they would stay open until a later time.

I cannot stress enough how delicious the donuts are, or how friendly the man running the store is, or how consistent the quality of their products are, or how reasonably priced it is. If you've never tried this place and live anywhere remotely close, you absolutely must check it out!

The owner/operator really cares, and he makes great donuts. While I was there, he heated up a jalapeno kolache for me (delicious!) and made a fresh pot of coffee. Another customer complained that the bottled drink she purchased didn't taste right, and he made it right for her, on the spot. I'd heard rave reviews from folks who live in the area, and now that I've been, I add my voice to their chorus.

Very good donuts if you like light and fluffy donuts. Glazed donuts are extra glazed and sweet. We ordered the fritter (see below), a frosted strawberry yeast, and some donut holes. The strawberry and donut holes were light and sweet, and the strawberry tasted real and not fake.

The shop is small but the owner was very nice and very friendly. I definitely felt good about buying here.

For those who like fritters, this one is slightly above average. It is light and flaky, similar to their donuts, but not too sweet. The apple flavor was underwhelming. The price was average.
