Tumbleweed Tex Mex

Edible food. I keep going to tumbleweed because others seem to like it but I just don't. Service was good though

My sister and I ate at Tumbleweed in Hikes Point 3/26/19 with our spouses. The server, name tag said The Man provided excellent service. However, my sister always orders her steak extra rare and I order mine med rare. Both of our steaks were cooked medium and cool instead of warm. She told a lady that was seeing if we needed anything. My sister said her steak too done. Another lady, guess she was manager and she said that how they cook their steak rare. She seemed perturbed to have the kitchen to cook one rare, as she was walking away she said you want it rare ok. A few SECONDS later steak is brought to table and it was so rare that it was very cold when she cut into it. Looked like someone threw it on grill and flipped asap just to be nasty. NO ONE can eat a raw steak. So she ended up not eating it. Server came with our bill and asked if something was wrong with her steak cause she took one bite of it. We explained and he apologized. We've eaten there many times and her steak has always been cooked rare NOT RAW. I personally feel the manager should have returned to ask if cooked properly. ????????

The best thing about tumbleweed is margarita monday, the margaritas are good and you can't beat 99¢ for one! Second best thing is 1/2 off appetizers from 2 to 6. These specials are what makes it worth coming in. The food is just okay, but with the specials it's a worthwhile after work stop with friends!

We had a trainee waitress who did very well. The only problem she encountered was the liquor list. But that takes much time. We were a party of 3 with a toddler, so rest assured the table stayed messy with our help. So I applaud her and her Trainer who helped out a bit, for their patience, understanding, and professionalism. They both did a great job making us feel comfortable. The food as always was superb. Atmosphere was exciting and soothing at the same time. Tumbleweed always has my vote for their consistency.

Atmosphere is good. Definitely a Tex_Mex flavor. Not authentic Mexican but I actually prefer it to most Mexican Food restaurants in town. Service has always been great for us. Value is great. Also nice specials if you are on their text messaging service.
