My husband and I ate here yesterday for the first time. It was AMAZING!!!! Its the only restaurant that offers legitimate home cooked food. I had the meatloaf baked beans and mac n cheese and corn bread. Omg it was delicious. Best meatloaf around. And the baked beans yummmm!! The corn bread is so moist and delicious and the mac n cheese was fantastic!! My husband had smothered porkchops mashed potatoes and green beans. He inhaled all of it! I am so happy we finally have a great place to eat in Portland!!! Thank you mamas kitchen. It was so good we are eating there again tonight. I'm having exactly what I had yesterday that's how good it is!!!

My first time i had the meatloaf dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy and Mac and cheese cornbread really good I can't wait to go back am going to try pork chops ????

Went to Mama's kitchen to check out food me and my husband had pulled chicken w/ Mac and cheese and baked beans the food was delicious and just the right size for me and my husband to eat and BBQ. Sauce was outstanding everyone needs to get you order in and enjoy the food it's was soooo Good and tell Linda I sent you!!!

I live near this place and it's one of the few restaurants in my neighborhood. My family and I order from here all the time. The food is consistently good and definitely has as close to home cooking as you can get from a restaurant. The only things I feel could improve are the lack of sitting areas. It just has a small waiting area to order. And that they do run out of meatloaf quite often, (so get there early if your wanting that).

The slaw dog is excellent. Ate 2 of them. Also the ultimate mac and cheese is off the chain. I think I may have fallen in love with this little restaurant. I will be back on Friday for the shrimp and fries. Yum yum
