Run as fast as you can to the River House. Sign up for their emails. We love $1.00 oyster night. Great food, great drinks and fantastic service. Their cornbread in the cast iron skillet is amazing.

I had a Po Boy salad as a sandwich and house made chips. The sandwich included lobster, shrimp, scallops, tomato and mayo. The bun was fresh and soft. It was very good. The restroom was clean, service was spot on and accommodating.

My date and I enjoyed a fabulous evening and exceptionally delicious dinner with attention to service and great views of the Ohio River. Indoor offers river view, but we sat outside. The only wrinkle in the evening was the band playing outdoors next door at KingFish; the band was a bit too loud for intimate conversation outdoors. My next visit needs to be earlier, before the band plays, or I might need to dine indoors. My date's tuna was blackened and delicious and my salmon was best I've eaten and enjoyed in town. River House is true jewel in the crown of restaurants in Louisville.

In summer beautiful outdoor patio. Tent style when raining good too. After visiting here go next door to "Levee" (same owners) good spot for music and dance.

Great food, beautiful river view. The interior brims with character and ambiance. They also make some quite tasty cocktails. This is a fine dining restaurant with a casual appeal. It's not exactly a cheap date, though. You pay for the quality.
