Great Cajun food. Opt for the jambalaya over the gumbo. The she crab soup is totally not worth the purchase. The Cajun mussels were amazing.
Hurricanes were a little weak but what do you expect.
The service was quite good although our waiter was clearly exhausted but he still gave his best effort
We decided to stop at Lou Lou’s on our way out of Louisville and we are so happy that we did. The food, atmosphere and the staff were amazing!! Cris took great care of us and provided the perfect recommendations! Jambalaya and bread pudding that I could eat every day!
We were seated upstairs on the outdoor balcony and it is so beautiful. The atmosphere inside was super cozy, and it smelled like seafood when you walked in. I was definitely taken aback by the decor and the beautiful green staircase! For an appetizer we ordered the hush puppies. They were phenomenal. The honey, barbecue dipping sauce reminded me of Grifos chips. We also got a seafood dip, and it was really good. The special last night was a pork tenderloin with peas and potatoes and that was ordered as well as the seafood fettuccine. Our food was great! I cannot wait to go back.
I had a nice lunch with my mother here. The wings were delicious and the hush puppies even better. The drink I got was really good I think it was a hurricane. Definitely will be back
Nice cozy place with Nola style cuisine. For drinks, we ordered the French 75, sazerac13' and old fashioned. All 3 drinks were extremely strong. It pretty much tastes like straight shots. The main dishes were everything!!! The mango salmon with grilled veggies was amazing. The salmon was smokey and most...smoked perfectly. And the grilled veggies was the perfect side to this dish. The shrimp and grits was superb. Shrimp wasn't overcooked, the grits had the perfect texture, and the roux was amazing. Definitely reminds you of Nola cooking. The roasted chicken wings was pretty good, but i cant put them in the same league as the main dishes. Please give this place a try.
