Excellent food. The taste was amazing. I had the Nashville Hot pasta bowl, and the Mac and cheese with the fried chicken in a bread bowl while being a carb explosion was incredible.

We had bread pudding for dessert and it was fantastic and I don't even like bread pudding!

I don't know why google maps is showing the Phantom cafe down by the morning fork. It is across the street from Sweet Surrender. On Frankfort between the silver Dollar and the printing house for the blind.

My partner and I stopped by here after seeing it mentioned on a Louisville Take Out group and the food was FANTASTIC!! I got the Soul Bird sandwich and my partner got the Shrimp Scampi Po Boy and we ate them up so fast, I absolutely recommend them both. Stop in, the food is amazing and the owner was super nice and attentive, even gave us a strawberry shortcake biscuit on the house because he had just finished up the cream cheese icing, which was like the best dessert I've had in a long time. We're definitely coming back, and hopefully often!

Today for brunch, my husband and I had the opportunity to try out The Phantom Cafe and I urge all of you to do the same. It’s located on Frankfort Avenue down in Clifton in the old Bougie Biscuit location. I’m going tell you right now that you shouldn’t go looking for a cool ambiance or fine dining. For now, Nick has some folding tables and chairs up set- up and the kitchen is clearly visible. He does a bigger business in pop-ups but don’t let this prevent you from trying it out (just call before you go, it’s a one man show for now).

Nick has recently moved back to Louisville from NYC and his life goal is to become a Michelin starred chef. He’s serving comfort food with a twist. I had The Original Pasta Bowl. It’s macaroni and cheese in a Parmesan encrusted bread bowl topped with grilled chicken and herbs. It was absolutely delicious. My husband had the Ultimate Clifton Club because he loves club sandwiches. This one had a grilled cheese in the middle along with ham, Turkey, candied bacon and pepperoni. He said it’s the best club sandwich he’s ever had and believe me, he’s had a bunch. For dessert we shared the Strawberry Shortcake Biscuit with a cream cheese topping. It was very tasty too.

Go check out this young business owner when you get a chance. Just be patient; like I said earlier, he’s doing this alone right now. I don’t think you’ll regret trying out this nice, up and comers food.

My husband and I had the Cardinal Wrap and the Shrimp Po’boy and they were both delicious! Nick was very nice and cooks everything fresh right in front of you. If you are in the area do yourself a favor an pop in for a bite and be sure to get the strawberry shortcake biscuit- it’s your southern grandmas dream dessert! (We ate it before I could even get a picture 😆)

First time coming here and it was amazing! Nick cooked everything infront of us also which was awesome to see. I’ll be back once a week probably 😄 The only bad thing is the music is so good and the food is amazing, you can’t sing and eat at the same time. P.s. try the strawberry shortcake for dessert
