I think Shirley must have known my Grandmother. The food brings back memories of the farm and growing up with Sunday dinners....everything is so amazing from meatloaf to chicken wings, mashed potatoes, gravy, mac and cheese, slaw, cabbage....friendly, fine and fabulous...a shouldn't miss in Louisville

The best chicken wings I have ever had! So tasty, moist and huge. Also loved their sides of green beans, mac and cheese and fried corn. The staff were very friendly and took the time to chat with us and that was very nice and much appreciated!!

Good ribs,ham hock and meatloaf. The fried chicken needed more seasoning. The green beans were good, but the corn wasn't fried. The mac-n-cheese lacked flavor. They are cash only. Friendly staff.

The place is small, so once you walk in you have to make eye contact with someone near the bar. They will either direct you to seat yourselves. The music selection wasn’t as good as I thought it would be. It’s a decent local spot. I had pork chops which could either be served fried or baked. I had no idea there was ever such a thing of baked smothered pork chops. Not a favorite. The fried smothered pork chops was a much better option. The highlight of my time here was the cornbread which is a crowd favorite, the strawberry daiquiris had a generous amount of alcohol, and the green beans were exceptional. It’s not highly recommended, but it is good enough to stop by with the family if you are in the area.

The food is delicious and the staff is amazing, this restaurant is a hidden gem. If you are looking for something home cooked at a more than fair price give it a try. You won’t be disappointed
