Love this place!!! You wouldn't expect much out of a little hole in the wall restaurant, but these guys are doing it right in a big way. The barbecue sandwiches, deep fried pickle chips and corn nuggets are outta this world. Keep up the great work guys!
Since we were at the campgrounds and it was raining, took a little time to figure out where to go eat. We chose Smokey Bear's BBQ and glad we did. Best brisket I've ever had and my husband had the catfish and it was delish! I recommend this place to anyone going through or coming to Corbin. Everyone very nice and the service was great!
Don't miss out on this delicious food when in the Corbin area. Everything here is fresh and delicious. My favorite are the classic pig taters (they have a spicy version too) with tater tots. Highly recommend!
This place was fantastic!! Friendly service, clean, homey atmosphere. Cops eat here too so I have to assume that it's one of your safer places to eat. The food was to die for. We ate steak sandwiches and took the leftovers home, TOO good to waste and TOO much to eat in one sitting so MORE bang for your buck too! Great for families, couples or singles.
Hands down some of the best BBQ I've ever had!
My friend and I do nationwide transportation and we've visited so many BBQ joints in so many states. This one was by far one of the best! Price per quantity is perfect considering the places I've eaten at. You really do get an obnoxious amount of food for a very fair price. The ribs are spectacular the rack fell apart so easily and tasted fantastic! Pulled pork is a big favorite of mine and theirs held to my standards. The hand shredded chicken was fantastic and I was certain it would be dry like most places but not one bit! The fries were great and we also got the fried pickles and corn nuggets, I was pleased with both but I would recommend using a thicker, crunchier batter for the fried pickles. The only additional reccomendation would be to have a greater variety of sauces at the table. I love hot sauce and sweet BBQ but Carolina vinegar, mustard base, things like that are great as well.
All in all we were very impressed with this place and have both decided to make it a regular stop for us on our way back down south. Even more so being located one mile from the Pilot Truck stop. SCREW SONNY'S HANG A LEFT!
For my brothers in boots, they do have a good military discount!
See y'all soon!
