The management team and new owner make this new and improved restaurant so special. My family and friends would eat here every day if possible. If you want to be treated with great customer service AND get quality food, pick this restaurant as your go to!
Great atmosphere, supports artists, and omg the best dogs I've ever had in my life! Their other food is great too - but holy damn those dogs are ????
They are amazing. *gets up on my soapbox* "THEY ARE NOT THE SAME AS MEEPLES IN ANY WAY" *gets down cough cough* "They are way better I actually enjoy coming here. Food is great, would never have guessed they only been open a week. Come here, it is pretty chill and nice to hang out in. They still have stuff that they need to get up and running but with as new as they, that is understandable. Love it. ❤
So, Meeples closed and from its ashes rises a restaurant renewed. Craft carries many of the signature items that Meeples once did, most notably they remain the only place selling bubble tea in Richmond. I'm friends with one of the cooks who remained in the transition and they've really done a lot of work to improve their menu items and really nail down a bubble tea that is honestly better than the ones that came before it. Beyond the tea, you'll find the burgers, sandwiches, and mac n' cheese dishes you might already be familiar with, but they also have a hot dog menu which has some exciting options.
But much like Meeples was not just a restaurant, the same applies to Craft. You'll notice local artists' work adorning the walls which both beautifies the venue and also supports said local artists, as each piece on the walls is for sale through Craft. I've also been led to believe that there will be art events in the store, so you really should keep a lookout for. All of these things come together to form the delightful theme for this new eatery to grace Main, and I highly recommend you stop in and give them your patronage. They are still in their "Soft Opening" phase, so you should also be on the lookout for their official Grand Opening.
I appreciate the care the new owner has taken in making this a new and wonderful place. I'm sure it'll be a great addition to the community. If you haven't been there yet, give it a try!
